Welcome to The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office in Eureka County

Our mission is to discover, develop, disseminate, preserve, and use knowledge to strengthen the social, economic, and environmental well-being of people.

We provide resources to ranchers, farmers and gardeners. We help with community and economic development and work with the youth of Eureka County, Nevada.

We help ranchers with their beef cattle and rangelands. Farmers with alfalfa, weeds and pest control offering information on plant science, pesticides and pesticide spraying.  Gardeners can find helpful hints on conserving water and eliminating invasive weeds.

Our Cooperative Extension 4 H program is very active. For instance, the outstanding horsemanship program is well attended and well received by the youth of Eureka, Nevada.
