General Moly, Inc. (GMI) is a publicly traded USA mining company with headquarters in Lakewood, Colorado and mining projects in Nevada that include the Mt. Hope Mine located 23 miles northwest of Eureka. In 2008, GMI made the transition from an exploration company to a development company. GMI is positioned to be one of the world's largest primary molybdenum producers by the middle of the next decade. On October 4, 2007 our board of directors approved a name change from Idaho General Mines, Inc. to General Moly, Inc. (GMI).
